Your VPS is up and running, but where are your files at?

In this guide, you will learn how to upload and download files from your VPS to your computer.

For this guide will use the FileZilla client.

Let's get you connected, the first thing we need to copy is our server IP address, and then the password that we have used.



As you can see, we have changed our host address on FileZilla from just 123.456.789 to sftp://123.456.789. In order to connect with FileZilla to our SFTP servers, you have to add the prefix sftp:// before the host address. Make sure to use port 22!

That's it! You are now connected to your service and able to use FileZilla to transfer files.
